Terms of Service

Last updated: August 28, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and ZeyLearn ("ZeyLearn," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the ZeyLearn website, courses, and related services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, or clicking "I agree" where presented, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Age Requirements

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or otherwise provide personal information to ZeyLearn. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service under the supervision of, and with the permission of, a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
  • By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we will delete any account or data we become aware was created in violation of this section. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account or provided personal information without your consent, contact us immediately using the details in Section 17 so we can remove it.
  • Course content itself is written for a wide range of skill levels and does not require an account to read. Account creation, however, is restricted as described above.

2. Educational Purpose Only - No Professional Advice

The Service, including all lessons, code examples, career guide content, job-title explanations, and learning paths, is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on the Service constitutes professional, career, legal, financial, medical, or employment advice, and nothing on the Service is a guarantee, promise, or warranty of any job offer, salary, certification outcome, interview result, or career outcome of any kind. You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy and applicability of any information before relying on it, and for any decisions you make based on it, including in a production, professional, or commercial setting.

3. Accounts and Access

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it up to date.
  • You must notify us promptly at the contact address in Section 17 if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials or from unauthorized access resulting from your own actions or omissions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to, and not to attempt to:

  • Copy, scrape, crawl, mirror, or bulk-download Service content for any purpose other than your own personal, non-commercial learning, or use automated means to access the Service except through publicly documented interfaces (such as robots.txt-permitted indexing);
  • Reproduce, resell, sublicense, redistribute, or use Service content to build or train a competing product or service;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of any non-open-source part of the Service;
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security-related or access-control feature of the Service;
  • Introduce malware, or use the Service to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, including by fabricating or falsifying completion of a course, path, or certificate;
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

We may investigate suspected violations of this section and take any action we deem appropriate, including suspending or terminating access, without prior notice.

5. Content, Accuracy, and "As Is" Provision

All course content, lessons, code samples, and materials are provided "as is" and "as available," for learning purposes. Educational content, especially technical and security-related material, may contain errors, omissions, or become outdated as tools, frameworks, and best practices change. We do not warrant that any content is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose, and you should independently verify anything before applying it outside a personal learning context.

6. Certificates

  • Certificates issued by ZeyLearn reflect self-reported completion of a course or learning path's lessons within the Service, tracked in your browser. They are not proctored, invigilated, or independently verified assessments of skill or knowledge.
  • Certificates are not formal academic degrees, accredited qualifications, or professional licenses, are not issued by an accredited educational institution, and have no inherent monetary value.
  • We make no representation that any employer, institution, or third party will recognize, accept, or give any weight to a ZeyLearn certificate.

7. Intellectual Property

Unless stated otherwise, ZeyLearn owns or holds a license to the content, design, layout, and code of the Service, and all rights not expressly granted to you are reserved. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view Service content for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, redistribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from Service content except where explicitly permitted (for example, content we mark as open-source, or code you write yourself while completing an exercise).

8. Copyright Complaints

If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us at zeylearning@gmail.com with (a) a description of the copyrighted work, (b) the location of the allegedly infringing material on the Service, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized. We will review and, where warranted, remove or disable access to the material.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may link to or embed third-party websites, tools, or resources (for example, documentation, code playgrounds, or external references) that we do not control and are not responsible for. Your use of any third-party site or service is governed by that party's own terms and privacy policy, and we disclaim all liability arising from your interaction with it.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that using the Service will result in any specific learning, job, or career outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will ZeyLearn, its founder, or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount, if any, you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50). Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ZeyLearn, its founder, and its contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party, or (c) your use or misuse of the Service.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including for suspected violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and, where available, request deletion of your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination - including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law - will survive.

14. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or any course, feature, or part of it, at any time, without liability to you. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to give notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at zeylearning@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally; most concerns can be resolved this way. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [venue to be confirmed].

16. General

  • Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ZeyLearn regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
  • Assignment. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.

17. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at zeylearning@gmail.com.
